16GB microSDHC Card

Toshiba has released its SD-C16G,The 16GB microSDHC Card will be the largest available microSD-form-factor card ever released, supporting the latest phones and media players. As a class two SD device, the flash memory should perform writes at up to 6MB a second. The cards won’t make it out in time to be holiday presents, as they should start going into production in January, hitting the shelves shortly thereafter. In addition to the SD-C16G, Toshiba will be releasing two high-speed full-sized SDHC cards, the 8GB SD-F08G and 16GB SD-F16G. Both models are rated for class six, handling 20MB per second write speeds for recording large photos and high-bandwidth digital video. The pair will go into production in December, hopefully reaching the market shortly before the SD-C16G.
